MSC SCS revision for Red Sea and East Africa effective January 1st, 2022

Countries: Saudi Arabia (King Abdullah), Jordan, Djibouti, Yemen, Egypt (Sokhna Port only), Kenya, Tanzania & Somalia) to USA and  San Juan, Puerto Rico.​

Due to further increase of the Suez Canal toll fee, MSC is compelled to update the Suez Canal Surcharge (SCS) for all shipments going via the Suez Canal.

Revised Quantum:

From Saudi Arabia (King Abdullah), Jordan, Djibouti, Yemen, Egypt (Sokhna Port only), Kenya, Tanzania & Somalia) to USA and San Juan, Puerto Rico

  • SCS fee of USD 75/20’ and USD 150/40’ all equipment types as from January 1st, 2022, container gate in date.

From PORT SUDAN to USA and San Juan, Puerto Rico

  • SCS fee of Eur 75/20’and Eur 150/40’ all equipment types as from January 1st, 2022, container gate in date.
