MSC reports on new regulation on importation of vehicles scope: USA to Guinea

The following are decisions from Guinean Authorities as to importation of vehicles applicable as from July 15th 2021 (sailing date @ POL):

  • It is strictly forbidden to import used vehicles older than 13 years.
  • All vehicles must undergo a survey before loading.
  • CERTAFRI BV has been nominated to arrange for inspection worldwide
  • After survey a certificate with a unique reference number will be issued.
  • Reference number must be inserted in BL and manifest within cargo description.

Please make sure you are in full compliance with above before loading any vehicle.

Failure to comply may result in heavy fines and vehicles may be scrapped locally or reloaded back to origin at shippers’ expenses.
