MSC introduces updated Emergency Intermodal Charge

MSC announced that effective date July 1st, 2022 Gate in Date at POL, following has been filed with the FMC applicable to all intermodal shipments from ASIA origins to all USA destinations, be it via USWC, USEC, or Canadian POD’s and regardless of the Transportation Mode.

• The EIC (Emergency Intermodal Charge): $600 per unit.
  

This charge will have to be manifested as a separate item under EIC Manifest charge code.
