MSC introduces an emergency intermodal charge on US imports

MSC will introduce an Emergency Intermodal Charge (EIC).  

As from 1 August 2021 (gate in date at POL) until further notice, the EIC will be charged USD 350 per container for all import cargo to US via US and Canadian gateways where MSC is responsible for the rail, rail and truck, truck, and/or barge moves.
