MSC introduces an emergency intermodal charge on US exports 

Aug 12, 2021

Effective September 10, 2021, MSC will implement an EIC (Emergency Intermodal Charge) of USD 350 per Container, applicable on all USA intermodal export for all trades via USA or Canadian gateway where the mode of transport is truck or truck rail.
