MSC GRI scope: import Middle East/India sub-continent to USA for February

Effective February 1st, 2021, steamship lines are once again challenged to maintain service profitability since freight rates are at levels that are no longer sufficient given current costs.

In order to maintain such a service, MSC is forced to announce the following General Rate Increase (GRI) effective February 1st as below.

FROM: Saudi Arabia (only Dammam & Jubail), Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, Oman, United Arab Emirates, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives

TO: USA and Puerto Rico:
Reefers and SOC & SOT are subject to the announced increase.

  • USD 500 per 20’ Equipment
  • USD 600 per 40’ Equipment
  • USD 600 per 40’HC Equipment
