MSC GRI from USA WC, EC & Gulf to Far East Ports

General Rate Increase (GRI) for Far East Westbound cargo (ex. USA) effective March 16th, 2020

Steamship lines are once again challenged to maintain service profitability since freight rates are at levels that are no longer sustainable.

MSC announced the following General Rate Increase (GRI) effective March 16th, 2020 for all export cargo originating from USA & Puerto Rico to Far East as follows:

For US West Coast, US East Coast (including Gulf), IPI Cargo and Puerto Rico cargo to Asia

$800 per 40' HR/RE

Above GRI does not apply to dry cargo.
