MSC ARIANE incident on Pearl Service update

In respect of the container ship MSC ARIANE, deployed on our Pearl service, which had an engine issue due to bad quality of fuel on 2 April while en route from Xiamen, China to Los Angeles, USA.  

Currently in Wakayama, Japan, for repairs, the vessel is expected to leave on 21 April and arrive at Los Angeles anchorage on 1 May 2021. The estimated berthing date will depend upon the congestion in the Los Angeles area.  

MSC regrets any inconvenience caused by this incident and we will communicate again in due course as soon as we have updated information to pass on to you about the estimated berthing in Los Angeles.
