MSC Ariane incident on Pearl Service

Apr 06, 2021

The container ship MSC ARIANE, deployed on MSC’s Pearl service, had to stop at sea due to an engine issue on 2 April while en route from Xiamen, China to Los Angeles, USA. The vessel has been diverted to Wakayama, Japan for repairs.

MSC ARIANE was expected to berth in Los Angeles on 24 April. Due to the congestion in the Los Angeles area, MSC is now expecting a schedule adjustment to this original berthing plan.

MSC regrets any inconvenience caused by this incident and will communicate again in due course as soon as they have updated information to pass on about the estimated arrival and berthing in Los Angeles.
