MSC Announcement: GRI Scope - import Indian Subcontinent/Middle East to USA (ISC/ME)

Please be advised that Mediterranean Shipping Company has filed and will implement the following General Rate Increase (GRI) effective September 15^th, 2024

Cargo from: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Middle East (Saudi Arabia (only Dammam & Jubail), Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, Oman, United Arab Emirates)

To: USA WEST COAST
USD $2000 per CNTR (dry & reefers)
Note that GRI is also applicable for SOC & SOT.


MAERSK STOCKHOLM – DELAY ON ELEPHANT SERVICE
MAERSK has informed us of an unexpected delay affecting the vessel MAERSK STOCKHOLM operating on our Elephant service, on her journey from Newark to Norfolk, USA.
An inspection conducted by authorities at Newark showed the presence of a pest inside accommodation’s dry provision store of the vessel. There is no report of impact on containers or cargo, and the vessel has been instructed by authorities to undergo fumigation inside the accommodation space before she can be permitted to berth for cargo operations. The vessel is currently at anchorage in Norfolk for the necessary fumigation.
