MSC Announcement: Due to delays MSC is planning to adjust capacity on its Asia to USA routes

Please take note of the announcement below containing the following scopes:

  • IMPORT MIDDLE EAST / INDIAN SUB-CONTINENT TO USA EAST COAST / USA GULF COAST / SAN JUAN
  • INDIAN SUB-CONTINENT TO USA EAST COAST / USA GULF COAST / SAN JUAN

SCHEDULE UPDATE

SCOPE: TRADE ASIA TO USA

Due to delays MSC is planning to adjust capacity on its Asia to USA routes to provide better schedule reliability. As such, we would like to inform you that the following voyages will be sliding:

You may continue to place bookings as usual as we are arranging contingency plans with alternative services.
Should you have any questions, please contact your local MSC representatives in our global network of more than 675 offices.

PSS - PEAK SEASON SURCHARGE

SCOPE: IMPORT MIDDLE EAST / INDIAN SUB-CONTINENT TO USA EAST COAST / USA GULF COAST / SAN JUAN

Effective date February 15th, 2024.

Please be advised that Mediterranean Shipping Company has filed and will implement the following Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) effective February 15th, 2024, with the following quantum and effective date for all shipments as below.

Cargo from: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh

To: TO USA EAST COAST / USA GULF COAST / SAN JUAN

USD 1200 x Dry Container

Note that GRI is also applicable for SOC & SOT.

PSS: PEAK SEASON SURCHARGE

SCOPE: IMPORT MIDDLE EAST / INDIAN SUB-CONTINENT TO USA EAST COAST / USA GULF COAST / SAN JUAN

Effective date February 19th, 2024.

Please be advised that Mediterranean Shipping Company has filed and will implement the following Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) effective February 19th, 2024, with the following quantum and effective date for all shipments as below.

Cargo from: ex India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh

To: USA EAST COAST / USA GULF COAST / SAN JUAN

USD 800 x Reefer Container (no increase, remain as currently filed)


Note that GRI is also applicable for SOC & SOT.

PSS: PEAK SEASON SURCHARGE

SCOPE: INDIAN SUB-CONTINENT TO USA EAST COAST / USA GULF COAST / SAN JUAN

Effective date March 4th, 2024 - Cancelled

Please be advised the below Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) increase announced for March 4th, 2024, has been CANCELLED. PSS amount will therefore remain as currently filed (USD $1200 x dry container).
