Montway Auto Transport celebrates one million customer deliveries

Oct 25, 2023

Montway Auto Transport, one of the nation’s leading third-party logistics brokerages and a pioneer in the auto transport industry, announced today that it has completed one million customer deliveries. Since its inception, Montway has been at the forefront of innovative automotive transportation solutions that revolutionize and humanize the car shipping experience for its customers. This milestone reflects Montway’s evolution over the past 16 years and its position as a trailblazer in automotive logistics.

While reaching one million car deliveries and arranging more than 250,000 vehicle shipments in 2022 alone, Montway managed some unique vehicle shipments, including Tom Cruise's Toyota LandCruiser, numerous Batmobile replicas and even the dog van from Dumb & Dumber, after the shooting of the second film ended.

In 2007, Montway began as a basic brokerage, providing shipping services for local dealerships and auctions. Its growth accelerated as businesses noted the efficiency and cost savings Montway brought to auto transportation. This value proposition also attracted private customers, solidifying Montway’s reputation as a dependable nationwide provider. To meet evolving needs, the company introduced an online car shipping calculator with instant quotes for customers in 2009 and launched transportation management software for businesses in 2013.

“Since our start, Montway has been dedicated to providing customers with the best services and solutions,” said Dimitre Kirilov, Strategic Board Member at Montway, who was the first person to work for the brokerage. “By learning the industry inside out and thoughtfully onboarding every new employee, we created an environment of innovation that has made us the premier transport company in the industry.”

Today, Montway serves a diverse customer base, including online car buyers, individuals moving, seasonal travelers, digital nomads, motorcycle and classic car enthusiasts and members of the military. Additionally, Montway offers transportation management solutions such as the Montway Automation Portal (M.A.P.) for automotive dealerships and groups, auctions, manufacturers, rental car companies, financial institutions, fleet management companies, corporate relocation providers and more.

Montway’s culture is built on collaboration, respect, and a shared devotion of going the extra mile for its employees and customers alike. In 2023, Montway became Great Place To Work-Certified™, an achievement reflecting its emphasis on employee satisfaction. Montway’s dedication to its customers has also been recognized through its inclusion in the Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies for 2023, marking its fifth appearance. The company also received the 2022 Gold Stevie Award for Large Transportation Company of the Year, a recognition of Montway’s growth and ambition.

"Looking back on our journey, reaching this one million customer delivery milestone is a testament to the hard work, dedication and innovative spirit of the entire Montway team,” stated Tom Gartland, Chairman and CEO. “This achievement motivates us to continue striving for excellence and keep pushing the boundaries in the auto transport industry. Our focus remains on enhancing our technological solutions, expanding our range of services and continuing to deliver unparalleled customer experiences."
