Maersk customer advisory: Update to Tropical Storm Ida

Tropical Storm Ida made landfall on Sunday as a high-end category 4. Storm Ida is expected to weaken to a tropical depression later today over Mississippi with remnants tracking through the central Appalachians, then the mid-Atlantic later in the week. 

Below are Maersk operations update:

Ocean

New Orleans will remain CLOSED on Monday, August 30th. Potential date/time of reopening to be discussed pending the ability to survey terminal and review impact from the storm. 

Mobile gates will be CLOSED on Monday, August 30th. Operations are projected to resume on Tuesday.

Vessels

As of now, Maersk does not see any impacts to vessels or cargo. 

• Maersk has no vessels alongside in either terminal
• 758/Maersk Seville departed USNOL 8/27 and is enroute to USMIA
• 646/MSC Charleston and 823/Conti Cortesia ETA USNOL 9/5 
• 959/MSC Vanessa and 758/Maersk Kolkata ETA USMOB 9/3
