Konecranes appoints Anneli Karkovirta Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Konecranes has today appointed Anneli Karkovirta (b. 1963) Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Member of the Konecranes Leadership Team effective August 30, 2021. In her role she will be responsible for human resources, marketing & communications and sustainability and will report to Rob Smith, President and CEO.

Karkovirta, currently Vice President, HR Business Area Industrial Equipment, corporate strategy projects and M&A, will transition duties with Timo Leskinen who will leave the company on September 30, 2021, as announced earlier. Until his departure, Leskinen will act as a Senior Advisor to ensure a smooth and effective transition of his current duties.

Anneli Karkovirta has over 20 years of experience in human resources, integration and organization development. She joined Konecranes in 2014 and has held several human resources leadership positions since then. Karkovirta has a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration.

From August 30, 2021, the Konecranes Leadership Team will consist of the following members:
