Johanson Transportation gives $50,000 in celebration of 50 years in the freight transportation industry

JTS (Johanson Transportation Service) has given over $50,000 to national and local charities this year in celebration of their 50 years in business.

“Foundationally we have always prioritized giving back to the community. Our values and care for others are the primary reasons we are thriving today. Being blessed with many faithful customers over our 50 years, many now friends, has allowed us to fulfill our promise to support those in need. Our people are deeply committed to our philanthropic mindset and have been generous with their time and resources. We are proud of this tradition,” says company President/CEO Larry Johanson.

JTS conducted their “JTSCares Heart of Gold Campaign” throughout 2021, donating $5,000 each to ten charities chosen by the staff. This was in addition to dozens of other service projects, charitable donations, and sponsorships for non-profits.

The charities were:

  • American Family University of Wisconsin Children’s Hospital
  • First Responders Children’s Foundation
  • Feeding America/Oregon Food Bank
  • Truckers Against Trafficking
  • United Way of Fresno & Madera Counties
  • Ronald McDonald House of Central Valley
  • National Fallen Firefighters Foundation
  • Wounded Warrior Project
