Intermodal EXPO returns to Long Beach - in-person

Sep 03, 2021

Intermodal EXPO is the only forum that brings together the entire intermodal freight supply chain, including executives from 3PLs, ocean carriers, railroads, ports, motor carriers, suppliers and shippers. IANA is looking forward to hosting one of the first freight transportation in-person events of the year. Highlights of the three-day program include:

Intermodal Day

Monday, Sept. 13 9:00 a.m. As IANA celebrates its 30th anniversary, transportation leaders, advocates and elected officials will come together to recognize the importance of the intermodal industry to the US economy. Participants will include Congressman Alan Lowenthal; Mayor of Long Beach Robert Garcia; and Dr. Noel Hacegaba, deputy executive director of the Port of Long Beach.

Inside Intermodal

Monday, Sept. 13 12:45 p.m. With opportunity and challenge seemingly around every corner, Inside Intermodal will provide in-depth industry analysis from multiple perspectives — marine, rail, trucking, and technology. The session will begin with a review of 2020's critical baseline events, then examine what is driving the industry in 2021 and beyond. Moderated by John Larkin, this panel includes leading experts from ACT Research, Vespucci Maritime, Gross Transportation Consulting and Armstrong & Associates.

Intermodal’s Digital Coming of Age

Tuesday, Sept. 14 9:00 a.m. Technology continues to transform nearly every aspect of our lives, while freight transportation, by contrast, is just beginning its own digital revolution. What is the current state of technology adoption in intermodal compared to other sectors? Our panel of industry innovators will tackle this question through the lenses of the digital 3PL, the e-commerce explosion, autonomous vehicles in the supply chain and more. Moderated by Pervinder Johar, CEO of Blume Global, our panelists from Coyote Logistics, TuSimple and Redwood Logistics will share their company perspectives.

An Exhibit Hall featuring 80+ innovative companies sharing their products and services designed to support the growth and advancement of the intermodal industry.
