Hybrid RTGs boost Adriatic Gate Container Terminal operations

Jan 12, 2026

Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT) has taken delivery of two new hybrid rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes, further strengthening its operational capabilities at the Port of Rijeka. The equipment arrived in late December, shortly after the terminal received two new super post-Panamax quay cranes as part of a broader infrastructure upgrade. The hybrid RTGs enhance yard operations, while supporting AGCT’s sustainability objectives through reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions. The equipment acquisitions underscore AGCT’s investment in capacity expansion and service reliability to meet growing demand and reinforces Rijeka’s role as a strategic gateway in the region.
