HDR’s Erwin promoted to lead transportation operations in Canada

Tara Erwin, a transportation professional with a wide range of experience leading complex projects across Canada, has been promoted to serve as HDR’s transportation manager in Canada.

Based in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Erwin will provide operational leadership and strategic coordination of the firm’s nearly 250 transportation employees in Canada. HDR’s Canadian operations span 10 offices from Vancouver to Toronto and include multidisciplinary teams solving our clients’ most complex mobility challenges. She will oversee key projects in delivery and support business development efforts in all transportation markets to uncover opportunities to help clients and communities across Canada improve access, safety and quality of life.

Erwin’s leadership is integral to a Canadian practice that has doubled in the past two years. Highlights include the Ontario Line subway in Toronto, a vibrant railway practice and transportation planning and roadway design efforts across the country.

Erwin has led or contributed to a variety of projects including environmental assessments, transit project assessments, master plans, transit studies, haul route studies, and safety and operational reviews in both rural and urban settings. Erwin is committed to creating a better future for the communities where she works by listening to all of those impacted and amplifying voices when needed.

Erwin was recently elected to the WTS Greater Toronto Board of Directors, a professional organization that provides a powerful voice for inclusion, diversity and equity across North America.
