Hartsfield-Jackson signs agreement with Namibia Airports Company

Seeking to promote economic growth and development and cultivate a relationship for mutual benefit, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and the Namibia Airports Company (NAC) today signed a Sister Airports agreement between ATL and Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH). The agreement establishes a commitment to help improve passenger and cargo operations between the airports.

The parties see this as an opportunity to increase business, tourism, and cultural relations between ATL and Namibia. The pact is ATL’s 10^th sister airport agreement and the third with an African airport system. Liberia Airport Authority and the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria are the first and second, respectively.

ATL interim General Manager Jan Lennon, NAC CEO Bisey Uirab, City of Atlanta COO LaChandra Burks, ATL Senior Deputy General Manager Michael Smith, ATL Senior Deputy General Manager Frank Rucker, United Nations Ambassador April Ripley, ATL CFO Bryan Benefiel, and ATL Senior Airport Director for Public and International Affairs Alrene Barr participated in this signing ceremony.
