Fiji Airways Extends SFO Seasonal Flights to Year-Round

NADI, Fiji -  Fiji Airways, Fiji’s National Carrier, has announced the extension of its seasonal non-stop San Francisco – Nadi (Fiji) flights to a year-round service, following a successful first year of operations.The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Fiji (NAN) services first launched in June 2016 and will resume with the extended service in June 2017.  The new year-round service between SFO and NAN will operate twice a week, increasing to three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) in the high season from June through August and in December. Fiji Airways Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Andre Viljoen said, “Our expansion out of SFO represents our position as the premier carrier for Fiji and the South Pacific, as well as being a gateway carrier to Australia and New Zealand.” He added, “We are buoyed by the increasing demand from business, leisure and visiting friends/family (VFR) segments to the South Pacific and beyond from the San Francisco Bay Area and the greater Northwest.” San Francisco International Airport Director, Ivar C. Satero commented, “We are thrilled that Fiji Airways has chosen SFO for expanded year-round service. This move validates the strong market for nonstop flights between San Francisco and Fiji, and we are pleased that our customers can now enjoy Fiji Airways’ award-winning service year-round.” Fiji Airways’ San Francisco to Nadi, Fiji flight will depart at 11:00 pm (local time) arriving in Nadi at 5:10 am (local time, +2 days). The flight will depart Nadi at 10:15 p.m. (local time), arriving in San Francisco at 1:45 p.m. (local time, the same day). Operated using Fiji Airways’ A330 aircraft, the 10-hour non-stop flights offer both Economy and Business Class travel options. All Fiji Airways flights are full-service and include checked and carry-on baggage, in-flight entertainment, meals and alcoholic beverages.
