ELL and 4PL Central Station continue long-term cooperation

Feb 12, 2025

The leasing company for rail vehicles ELL Germany GmbH as well as the entire ELL Group and the leading provider of fourth-party logistics services in Europe 4PL Central Station are continuing their successful ten-year collaboration and have signed a contract for at least five more years. Under the agreed contract, 4PLCS will primarily take care of spare parts logistics for the locomotives of the pan-European group of companies and further optimize them.

In addition to the existing logistics warehouse in Kassel, there are plans to set up another warehouse in the greater Vienna area in order to further improve lead times in this region in particular and reduce transportation costs. In addition, the existing reporting on CO2 reduction is to be expanded in order to further improve the CO2 footprint.

“4PLCS has great expertise in the rail sector in particular and provides us with intensive support in ensuring our rapid service with maximum efficiency and top-level availability for our customers at all times. We are therefore looking forward to continuing our successful cooperation and are convinced that we have the right partner at our side to achieve our ambitious goals,” said Thorsten Priebe, Managing Director of ELL Germany GmbH and COO of the ELL Group, at the signing of the contract.

“The extension of our many years of successful cooperation that has now been agreed makes us proud of what we have achieved and is also an incentive for us. We want to continue to grow together and optimize our logistics processes. This explicitly includes the area of sustainability,” says Srecko Mühling, Chief Commercial Officer of 4PL Central Station.
