On Thursday, Sept. 25, more than 70 leaders in non-profit, energy, government, philanthropy, investing and maritime will gather for a robust discussion on how ports are powering and leading a climate-positive future. Moderator Johannah Christensen, CEO of Global Maritime Forum, will lead a panel of experts as they discuss energy innovation, regulatory challenges and pathways, resilient infrastructure, and a future economy bolstered by a sustainable blue/green workforce. Allyson Browne, Founder & CEO, HACC will serve as MC for the day.
Former WA Governor and Presidential candidate Jay Inslee will deliver keynote remarks to open the day, and Port of Seattle Commissioner Ryan Calkins will close the session. Thursday’s half-day session, jointly developed by the Port of Seattle and the High Ambition Climate Collective, is a critical cross-industry gathering of representatives from the public, private, and non-profit sectors focused on upscaling innovations to industry best practices that grow the green economy. The forum includes a keynote, an expert panel discussion, and conversations designed to seed partnerships and frame out actionable next steps.
