Dr Breithaupt succeeds Sonntag at Jettainer

Since 1 June 2024, Dr Jan-Wilhelm Breithaupt has been the new Chief Executive Officer of Jettainer. Together with his predecessor Thomas Sonntag, who is leaving the Lufthansa Group at his own request on 1 July, he informed at air cargo China about past and future developments of the global leader in Unit Load Device (ULD) management services, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

The experienced air cargo executive Dr Jan-Wilhelm Breithaupt was most recently responsible for global fulfillment management at Lufthansa Cargo and is therefore well acquainted with Jettainer's professional ULD management services from the customer side. He has a proven track record on leading digitalization initiatives within the Lufthansa Group such as Mobile Boarding Pass, 100% electronic Airway Bill and ONE Record. He thanked Thomas Sonntag for his achievements as CEO since 2019 and announced: "With a great team and a worldwide network, Jettainer is very well positioned in the global market. We will now continue to drive forward digital transformation and further improve the efficiency of our services for our global customers.”
