CPC Logistics welcomes Ragan as Regional Sales Manager

Jan 12, 2023

CPC Logistics, the leading provider of permanent and temporary Class A CDL truck driver and warehouse logistics services, has named Thomas Ragan as its new regional sales manager for the Indianapolis and Midwest branch.

Based in Indianapolis, Ragan sources customer leads, closes sales, guides new customers through the onboarding process and manages current customer accounts. As an integral member of the CPC team in the Midwest, Ragan also serves as an industry liaison by representing CPC to local and regional transportation and logistics organizations and at industry events.

“We took our time searching for the right person for this position, and Tom is the perfect fit,” said CPC East Division Manager Michael Trotter. “He has been a great addition to the team, and I’m confident he will continue to help us grow in Indianapolis and other key Midwest markets.”

Ragan brings more than 15 years of managerial experience to CPC and has worked with several transportation and logistics companies. In his most recent role as procurement and contracting manager for WellTrans, he was responsible for guiding the leadership team through new processes and strategies, sourcing and onboarding transportation providers, executing contract agreements, and creating efficiencies though systems and process consulting, among other tasks. Prior to WellTrans, Ragan was the regional manager of Indiana for LogistiCare Solutions (now called ModivCare), manager of maintenance and call center operations for Quality Companies, and station operations manager for FedEx Express.

“Tom is very well spoken, knowledgeable and analytical in his thinking,” Trotter said. “He is very attentive and brings a fresh perspective that will go a long way in relationship building. I know Tom will be able to help our new and current customers in many ways alongside our Indianapolis and Midwest team.”

Ragan has been passionate about transportation and logistics throughout his career and is especially interested in working with companies to combat recent supply chain challenges. As he settles into his role, he hopes to increase awareness of CPC’ services in his region and develop strong relationships with customers by finding strategic ways to meet their needs.

“CPC has not had anyone dedicated to pursuing new business opportunities in Indianapolis for a majority of the past year,” Ragan said. “Located at the crossroads of the United States, it is a major transportation hub where CPC has a lot of potential to help many organizations efficiently run their fleets. I am excited to meet people, learn about their goals and work to achieve them.”
