CMA CGM PCS in Iskenderun, Turkey from & to the Mediterranean, North Africa & Black Sea

CMA CGM reports the operational situation in Iskenderun, Turkey is not improving with no positive perspective in the coming weeks, and they are experiencing huge delays in this port between congestion/waiting time plus berth time on the current vessels berthing sequences with following impacts:

• laden cargo lead-time is being increased
• empty equipment re-loading / repositioning frequency is affected
• operating costs are drastically increased

In this respect, please be informed that CMA CGM will implement a Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS) in Iskenderun as follows:

• Perimeter: all INTRAMED cargo from/to the Mediterranean (including Portugal), North Africa (including Morocco) & Black Sea to/from Iskenderun
• Cargo: Dry, Hazardous, Reefer
• Applicable from August 29th, 2023 (loading date)
• Amount: EUR/USD 100 per TEU
• Settlement: Prepaid (export) / As per freight (import)

Any revision in the quantum of this surcharge related to the evolution of the local situation will be communicated with a 7-day notice.
