South Gate, CA - Trevor Ash has been promoted to executive vice president at CIMC Intermodal Equipment. His duties will include overseeing the sales and marketing departments, maintaining a position on the CIMC Executive Council, diversification and future departmental restructuring.
Ash joined CIMC Intermodal Equipment in 2016 as vice president of sales and marketing after more than 20 years with a leading heavy equipment distributor specializing in heavy lift and intermodal systems. At CIMC, Ash has been the driving force behind the development of chassis specifically designed for the North American market including the new Revere spec with upgraded componentry that lowers the cost of intermodal chassis ownership. Ash has also been responsible for building CIMC’s North American dealer network adding 15 dealers with 64 locations since 2016.
“Trevor’s promotion to executive vice president is certainly well deserved. He is really moving CIMC IE forward in the North American market with his energy and drive “, remarked Frank Sonzala, CEO. “Our market share is growing exponentially and Trevor is responsible for much of that success.”
Ash is active in numerous industry-wide organizations and was recently elected to fill the Supplier Division seat on the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) Board for 2020 and has also been selected for the Board of Directors at the California Trucking Equipment Association (CTEA).
