CenterPoint Properties announced it has appointed Christopher “Chris” Papa as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Beginning August 17, 2020, Chris will be based in CenterPoint’s headquarters at 1808 Swift Drive in Oak Brook, Illinois.
“Chris is a strategic, forward-thinking senior executive with over 15 years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer at two high profile, publicly-traded REITs. We couldn’t be happier to have a person with his acumen and track record joining CenterPoint,” said Bob Chapman, CenterPoint Chief Executive Officer.

Most recently, Chris was the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer with Liberty Property Trust. In addition to managing a team at Liberty, he also served as an instrumental member of the executive management team, providing strategic leadership in finance, capital markets, investor relations, accounting, tax and information technology.
Before Liberty, Chris spent more than 12 years at Post Properties as the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. While at Post, he served as a member of the executive management team and directly managed a cross-functional team.
Chris earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Clemson University. He began his career in public accounting as an auditor at Price Waterhouse. He also worked at Arthur Andersen for 10 years, ultimately ascending to audit partner, and was the Chief Financial Officer at a privately held manufacturing company.
