Carrier’s Lynx digital solution earns Edison Award for supply chain excellence and innovation

May 11, 2022

Carrier’s advanced LynxTM digital platform was recently recognized as a finalist in the Edison Awards™ and won a silver ranking for excellence in the supply chain innovation category. The Edison Awards are a globally respected leader in honoring the highest levels of new product and service development, marketing, human-centered design and innovation.

Carrier Global Corporation is the leading global provider of innovative healthy, safe, sustainable and intelligent building and cold chain solutions.

The Lynx solution, co-developed with Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS), is an integrated suite of tools aimed at dramatically reducing food waste, increasing food security and helping better protect and preserve perishables. The Lynx digital platform provides Carrier customers with enhanced visibility, increased connectivity and actionable intelligence across their cold chain operations to improve how temperature-sensitive cargo, including food, medicine and vaccines, is moved worldwide. The Lynx solution can help deliver temperature-controlled cargo more efficiently, in turn decreasing the cost of cold chain operations by optimizing resource utilization and reducing cargo loss and spoilage.

“Our Lynx ecosystem provides customers with capabilities for end-to-end tracking of cargo and real-time alerts about cargo and equipment conditions, which can greatly benefit the transport, food and pharmaceutical industries,” said Alice DeBiasio, Vice President & General Manager, Sensitech and Carrier Refrigeration Digital Solutions. “Lynx can positively impact people every day – helping to ensure food reaches tables worldwide in optimal condition, and medications can be safely moved for patient use and clinical trials, all while helping to alleviate global hunger and reduce the environmental and societal impacts of food waste.”
