Carrier Transicold introduces Supra S10MT for straight trucks with multi-temp cargo boxes

Carrier Transicold has introduced the Supra S10MT, a diesel-powered refrigeration unit for multi-temperature straight trucks that delivers exceptional cooling capacity and better efficiency, performance and serviceability than its predecessor. Carrier Transicold is a part of Carrier Global Corporation, global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.

“Managing multiple product temperatures in multi-stop truck applications demands precise temperature management and fast recovery after deliveries,” said Scott Parker, Product Manager – Truck Products, Carrier Transicold. “The Supra S10MT has the power and versatility that truck fleets need, plus the durability and reliability they’ve come to expect from our Supra platform.”

The Supra S10MT delivers 33,000 BTU at 35 degrees Fahrenheit. It uses separate SlimLINE® evaporators for each of the two cooling zones within the cargo area, and the single- and dual-discharge evaporator design allows fleets to optimize airflow, temperature control and utilization in each space.

Other features include:

• Quieter performance – The Supra S10MT reduces noise by up to 3 decibels, thanks to reduced engine speeds and other improvements, making it well-suited for nighttime and urban deliveries.

• Streamlined, weight-saving architecture – The Supra S10MT uses fewer unique components than its predecessor and reduces unit weight by 18%.

• Intelligent APX™ controls – APX control technology provides automated trip-data recording, automated pretrips with component-level fault protection, enhanced onboard diagnostics, FreshProtect perishable protection and more.

• Better serviceability – The Supra S10MT has a 2,000-hour oil service interval and maintenance-free components, including electric condenser fans and evaporator fan motors. The evaporator skins are made of a corrosion-free composite rather than metal, and the new fan design eliminates the need for capacitors.

• Lynx™ Fleet telematics available – Carrier Transicold’s industry-leading Lynx Fleet telematics solution can add remote monitoring of temperatures, location, movement, system operating performance and more.

The Supra S10MT multi-temp unit for trucks will be on display at the International Food Distributors Association 2024 Solutions Conference from Sept. 22-25 in Kansas City, Missouri.
