Carrier Logistics expands air freight clientele with addition of Eagle Air Freight

Feb 26, 2024

Carrier Logistics Inc. (CLI), veteran providers of freight management software for Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) fleets, announced that Import/export freight hauler Eagle Air Freight, Inc. has replaced its legacy freight management system with the CLI FACTS solution to provide customer visibility into shipments and more effectively manage its operation.

“Switching to Carrier Logistics has had an immediate positive impact on our business,” said Michael O'Brien Jr., president at Eagle Air Freight. “In less than six months we’re delivering real-time visibility into shipments that our customers require and our operations staff needs to efficiently plan loads and routes. FACTS has made our customer service system much more efficient and has reduced our administrative time and cost.

“FACTS is a great selling point because it demonstrates to our customers that we’ve made a very effective investment in technology for today and the future,” O’Brien continued. “You get more with CLI because they provide a great freight management software package, and they’re always willing to help us meet our customers’ needs, and most importantly we are now able to grow without outgrowing our technology.”

Since replacing its legacy system with FACTS in September 2023, according to O’Brien, Eagle Air Freight has realized several benefits, including:

· A reduction in administrative time and cost, cutting the number of people needed in half, enabling personnel to focus on other company needs. Enhanced customer service capabilities have eliminated more than 75% of calls and emails needed previously.

· Meeting customer expectations for visibility into shipments, including real-time cargo status and ETAs to meet schedules for time-sensitive international airline logistics operations and temperature-controlled freight.

· Visibility for dispatchers and operations personnel, and improved load and route planning, including updates that address real-time road conditions.

· Integrated mobile solutions that automate Proof of Delivery (POD) and document management for drivers.

· Improved data accuracy with automated and integrated capabilities that eliminate redundant entry needs and errors and improve cash flow by simplifying Accounts Receivables processes.

· Streamlined business processes with a database of customer information, including rates, accessorial charges, and invoices, and by eliminating the need to scan documents and reconcile paper-based records.

“FACTS was built to be an all-encompassing freight management system for all types of freight companies, including air freight companies like Eagle Air Freight,” said Ben Wiesen, president of CLI. “We’re proud they have chosen CLI as the technology foundation for their business. We’re looking forward to continuing to meet their operation’s and their customers’ needs and we’re pleased they made the transition to FACTS and have already had such great success.”
