Carrier Logistics elevates rating capabilities for FFE Transportation Services

Jun 02, 2026

Carrier Logistics (CLI), a trusted provider of freight management software for the logistics industry, today announced that it has integrated the CLI Rate Engine with FFE’s existing transportation management system to improve rating accuracy and enhance customer satisfaction.

“With the CLI Rate Engine, we have eliminated the complexity of rating loads,” said

Cris Moore, director of pricing at FFE Transportation Services. “As the way we price freight becomes more granular, properly rating shipments is even more essential. The rating capabilities we now have with CLI improve invoicing accuracy, reduce administrative time and enhance our customers’ experience.”

Prior to switching to the CLI Rate Engine, FFE Transportation Services was experiencing several challenges with its existing rate engine. Complicated processes for lane pricing led to the inability to verify rates and produce accurate invoices based on tariffs and contracts, rate loads by region, state, lane or zip code, and have visibility into pricing that was actually loaded.

“The inefficiency of our rating engine was causing errors and delays, but after exploring options and choosing the CLI Rate Engine for integration with our mainframe-based TMS we have streamlined processes in place, automating our rating for 99% of our customers,” Moore said. “Throughout the implementation, CLI has been highly organized, open to programming changes based on our business needs, and very responsive.”

FFE Transportation Services is based in Lancaster, Texas, with 18 terminals coast to coast. The company is the largest nationwide, asset-based, temperature-controlled LTL transportation service provider in the United States.

“Our rate engine was built to be adaptable to any TMS and scalable for growth like that being experienced at FFE Transportation Services,” said Ben Wiesen, president of Carrier Logistics. “We’re looking forward to an ongoing collaboration with them and to continuing to help the company meet their customers’ needs as a leader and innovator in the specialized market they serve.”
