Jun 20, 2022

The logistics provider has opened a new warehouse with 12,900 m² of storage space in Zagreb. Located 10 minutes from the airport, the newly built warehouse is ideally equipped for fast and efficient distribution to the surrounding region. The modern facility provides short- and long-term storage as well as value added services for a wide range of industries.

cargo-partner continues to further increase warehouse space in Central and Easter Europe and has recently opened its brand-new logistics center in Croatia. The warehouse is located in Meridian 16 Business Zone in Velika Gorica, right next to the A11 highway and 10 minutes from Franjo Tuđman Airport.

The modern logistics facility contains 13,500 pallet slots on 12,000 m² of storage space, plus a 900 m² mezzanine where the local cargo-partner team provides value added services and e-fulfillment for fashion and other industries. This space is now available to customers in addition to the existing 4,000 m² warehouse in the Zagreb neighborhood of Jankomir. The new warehouse serves as a storage and distribution hub for a variety of goods including foodstuffs, perishables, beverages, goods of animal origin as well as pharmaceuticals.

Zoran Starcevic, Managing Director of cargo-partner in Croatia, explains: “COVID-19 has accelerated the growth of e-commerce and caused long-term supply chain disruptions, both of which have led to a surge in demand for storage space. cargo-partner has been investing into growing its global warehouse capacities for many years now, with Croatia being an essential part of our network in Central and Southeast Europe. The new facility will enable us to make even better use of this important hub and further expand our logistics service portfolio.”

In addition to long- and short-term storage, the local team provides road transport services including pallet and parcel distribution to both EU and non-EU countries throughout Southeast Europe. With 22 loading and unloading ramps and additional drive-in access, the warehouse is well equipped for daily pick-up and distribution from and to the surrounding region. Fast transit is ensured by a dedicated customs bonded warehouse and customs brokerage services for import and export shipments. The cargo-partner team in Zagreb offers a range of value added services including goods acceptance, packing, repacking, order picking, document insertion and quality control.

The logistics center is HACCP-certified and ISO-certified and equipped with modern fire protection, burglar protection and surveillance systems to ensure ideal storage conditions for sensitive to very valuable goods. The racking system meets the highest European earthquake standards (Eurocode 8).

cargo-partner has been present in Croatia since 1996 and today has more than 90 employees at five locations in the country, covering the entire spectrum of air, sea, road transport and logistics services. Combining its two warehouses, the company now offers a total of 16,900 m² of warehouse space in the Zagreb area.
