Mar 06, 2024

Capes Shipping Agencies, a Norfolk, Virginia-based ship agency subsidiary of CV International, Inc. (CVI), has announced the opening of its newest office in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The new office will be managed by Mississippi River veteran Ron Soldani. Having held various ship agency roles spanning many U.S. Gulf ports throughout his career, Ron brings almost 30 years of local experience and relationships to the company. Ron will be joined by Marshall Adams, who will serve as Commercial Manager. Like Ron, Marshall has spent his entire maritime career working on the River and adds ten years of experience and international relationships. Ron and Marshall will be tasked with carrying on Capes Shipping Agencies’ reputation for providing personalized customer service and tailored solutions to its valued customers.

CVI President & CEO Mike Coleman said, “This new venture will allow us to both serve our existing customers and expand our market presence. Our people are what make us successful, and we are excited to have Ron and Marshall join our team.”

“We have been handling vessels on the Mississippi River for a few years now, and new opportunities made it the right time to establish a permanent presence in the U.S. Gulf,” added Vice President & General Manager Steve Hagen.

Reflecting on the opportunity, Ron Soldani said, “I am excited to join the Capes Shipping family and am confident our team will deliver the service that our customers deserve.”
