Nov 05, 2025

AVS GSA Services (M) Sdn. Bhd. (AVS GSA), the Malaysian subsidiary of the world’s largest GSSA, ECS Group, is DHL Aviation’s national representative, effective 01 November 2025. DHL Aviation connects Malaysia to key global destinations through its network of dedicated freighters from Kuala Lumpur and Penang to Hong Kong and Singapore, with onward connections to Thailand, India, Seoul, Japan, Bahrain, the Middle East, the USA, and Europe.

“Congratulations to AVS GSA Services on winning the DHL Aviation tender at this pivotal point in DHL’s Asian strategy,” says Jean Ceccaldi, Chief Executive Officer of ECS Group. “DHL Aviation’s Malaysian business has experienced rapid growth over the past two years, driven by the country’s role as a fast-rising manufacturing and transshipment hub within DHL’s intra-Asia network. Malaysia was identified as one of DHL’s top 20 growth markets and multimillion investments have been made in fortifying Kuala Lumpur’s and Penang’s logistics infrastructure. AVS GSA’s proven commercial expertise will now enhance DHL Aviation’s service, ensuring optimum load factors on DHL Aviation’s flights and road feeder services out of Malaysia’s two main cargo hubs.”

DHL Aviation operates an extensive fleet of dedicated freighters across the Asia Pacific region, including Airbus A320 and Boeing 767 aircraft. From Kuala Lumpur, DHL Aviation operates flights to Singapore and Hong Kong. From Penang, the airline operates flights to Hong Kong, with additional capacity available via RFS connections through Singapore.
From there, shipments can be onforwarded to primary export destinations in the United States, China, Japan, Australia, Germany, United Kingdom, Thailand, India, Korea, and the Middle East.

Malaysia’s main export commodities include complex electrical and electronic products such as semiconductors, sensors, and printed circuit components, medical and pharmaceutical goods, and e-commerce.

AVS GSA Managing Director, Yussof Amiroel, states “AVS GSA is proud to play a key role in shaping the continued success of DHL Aviation’s freighter operations. Our team will combine local experience with leading digital commercial software to ensure outstanding sales results and top-quality customer service, particularly in view of the high-value export shipments out of Malaysia.”
