AST Networks has announced the launch of Phase2 - powered by OneWeb, their enhanced connectivity offering designed to provide maritime, offshore, enterprise and remote operations with improved coverage, greater commercial flexibility, stronger security, and a future-ready approach to connectivity.
Building on the proven capabilities of Eutelsat's OneWeb Low Earth Orbit (LEO) network, Phase2 represents the next evolution of AST Networks' connectivity portfolio. Combining expanded service availability, enhanced commercial options, secure private networking, and integrated support services, Phase2 has been developed by AST Networks to help organizations meet growing operational demands whilst preparing for the next phase of digital transformation.
As organizations become increasingly dependent on cloud applications, remote operations, cybersecurity, crew welfare services, and real-time data, the requirement for resilient and adaptable connectivity has never been greater.
"Connectivity is no longer simply about getting online," said Gregory Darling, Founder and Chairman of AST Networks. "Our customers need reliable coverage, predictable performance, stronger security, and the flexibility to adapt as operational requirements evolve. Phase2 has been designed to deliver exactly that - improved coverage, better value, stronger security - and a platform for future growth."
The next phase of connectivity
AST Networks' Phase2, powered by OneWeb, introduces a new generation of connectivity services designed to support a broad range of operational requirements, from individual vessels through to global fleet deployments. Key capabilities include:
The enhanced portfolio allows organizations to tailor connectivity around operational priorities, vessel profiles, fleet requirements, and business objectives, whilst retaining the flexibility to adapt as needs change.
Thierry Polycarpe, VP Aero and Maritime connectivity of Eutelsat, said "Connectivity today is about much more than access. Customers are looking for solutions that deliver performance, resilience, security and flexibility to adapt as their operations evolve. We are proud to support AST Networks in the launch of this next phase, which builds on the capabilities of Eutelsat's OneWeb LEO Networks and AST Networks' strong customer-focused approach. Together, we are helping organizations build connectivity strategies that support critical operations today, while preparing for the demands of tomorrow."
Security built in
Cybersecurity remains a critical consideration for organizations, and Phase2 is supported by AST Networks' secure infrastructure and private networking opportunities, helping customers reduce exposure to cyber threats whilst maintaining secure access to business-critical applications and communications.
For organizations requiring additional protection, AST Networks also offers integrated cybersecurity services designed to strengthen resilience across operational technology (OT), information technology (IT), the internet of things (IoT), vessels, remote sites, and connected assets.
Designed for today - ready for tomorrow
The communications landscape continues to evolve rapidly, with new LEO constellations, increasing bandwidth demands, and new technologies transforming the way organizations operate. Phase2 from AST Networks has been developed with this future firmly in mind, providing customers with the flexibility to scale services, optimize costs, strengthen security, and adapt connectivity strategies as operational requirements change.
Whether supporting a single vessel, a global fleet, or a remote enterprise operation, AST Networks enables customers to build a connectivity solution that meets today's requirements whilst remaining ready for tomorrow’s next-generation technologies and services.
Supported by AST Networks
Alongside access to world-class satellite infrastructure, customers benefit from AST Networks' comprehensive support and managed services, including:
"Phase2 is about more than connectivity," added Darling. "It's about giving customers confidence that they have the right technology, the right support, and the right partner to keep their operations connected, secure, and ready for whatever comes next."
