TradeLaneTalent (TLT), a practitioner-led executive recruiting agency focused on the maritime, logistics, transportation, and supply chain sectors, is pleased to announce that Andy Saporito has joined the agency as Strategic Advisor.
Mr. Saporito brings more than 40 years of executive leadership experience across the port, maritime, transportation, and supply chain sectors, including serving as Deputy Port Director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Executive Director & CEO of the South Jersey Port Corporation.
During his career at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Mr. Saporito held several senior leadership positions overseeing port operations, marine terminal redevelopment initiatives, strategic planning, infrastructure investment, and commercial growth across one of the largest and most complex port systems in the world. As Deputy Port Director, he led major transformational initiatives throughout the Port of New York and New Jersey, including long-term capital planning and terminal modernization efforts that continue to shape the future of the gateway.
Following his tenure at the Port Authority, Mr. Saporito served as Executive Director & CEO of the South Jersey Port Corporation, where he led the organization’s operational, commercial, and strategic growth initiatives while supporting continued expansion across the corporation’s terminal network.
“I’m excited to join TradeLaneTalent after spending my career leading and supporting complex port and terminal operations,” said Andy Saporito. “What attracted me to TLT is the agency’s practitioner-led approach and deep understanding of the industry. We understand the challenges our clients face because we’ve operated within these environments ourselves.”
TradeLaneTalent was founded by Cory Wyatt, whose 23-year maritime and logistics career includes leadership roles with SSA Marine, APM Terminals, HMM, Global Container Terminals, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The agency specializes in executive, commercial, operational, engineering, and hard-to-fill technical recruiting across ports, terminals, ocean carriers, intermodal, logistics, and broader supply chain organizations.
“Too many recruiting firms covering the supply chain, transportation, and logistics industry have never actually operated within it. At TradeLaneTalent, we’ve spent our careers inside the business, and that gives us a very different perspective when it comes to identifying talent,” said Cory Wyatt, President of TradeLaneTalent. “Andy’s background as Deputy Port Director at the Port Authority and later as CEO of South Jersey Port Corporation brings a level of industry credibility, leadership experience, and market insight that is extremely rare in executive search. Together, we understand how these organizations operate, how leadership decisions are made, and what separates a good hire from the right hire.”
Mr. Saporito will work closely with TradeLaneTalent leadership to support the agency’s continued expansion and strengthen relationships across the maritime, port, transportation, and logistics sectors.
“By focusing exclusively on the industries we’ve spent our careers in, we bring a level of real-world operating experience and industry connectivity that clients simply do not get from traditional recruiting agencies,” added Saporito.
