Air France KLM Martinair Cargo to deploy additional cargo only capacity to and from the UK in the coming days

Dec 23, 2020

Recent developments have seriously disrupted the normal flow of goods between mainland Europe and the United Kingdom.

In order to meet the demand from our customers, shippers and, ultimately, the citizens of the UK, we will be operating additional wide body belly (WBB) capacity during the festive season. WBB capacity makes it specifically possible to transport urgent, critical shipments.

The flights will be operated from Schiphol to London Heathrow and back. For the time being, four additional flights will be operated using KLM Airbus A330 equipment on 25 and 26 December.

We are monitoring the situation closely and will further adapt our network when necessary from either of our hubs in Paris Charles de Gaulle or Amsterdam Schiphol.

GertJan Roelands, SVP Sales & Distribution Air France KLM Martinair Cargo: “Air France KLM Martinair Cargo aims to keep supply chains moving in order to meet the demands and wishes of our customers. We are especially pleased with the additional wide body belly capacity to/from LHR during this critical period, because the UK is a strategic market for us.”
