In partnership with Delta Air Lines, Aeromexico will start nonstop daily service between Cancun International Airport (CUN) and Miami International Airport (MIA) starting December 19.
This new flight will complement Aeromexico’s current service to Miami, where it offers five daily frequencies from Mexico City. The new service will also be the airline’s fourth route in the state of Florida, in addition to their Mexico City routes to Orlando and Tampa Bay. The airline will operate around 140 weekly arrivals and departures in Florida, offering up to 24,500 weekly seats.
Flights will operate on Aeromexico’s Boeing 737 MAX-8 aircraft with a capacity of 166 passengers: 16 in Premier Cabin, 18 in AM Plus, and 132 in Main Cabin. This next-generation aircraft model relies on a high-technology winglet system that reduces fuel consumption with an aerodynamic efficiency that decreases emissions. It also includes in-flight entertainment as well as high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity that provides a unique flight experience for customers.
This new route to the United States is also possible thanks to the Joint Cooperation Agreement (JCA) with Delta, allowing the airlines to provide better connectivity between the two countries. With the launch of the Cancun – Miami route, the Aeromexico-Delta partnership will jointly serve more than 65 routes between Mexico and the United States, operating more than 180 daily arrivals and departures, representing an offer of 31,000 seats per day.
