Yokohama TWS Sri Lanka awarded Best Exporter for 2021/22 and 2022/23

Yokohama TWS Sri Lanka has been recognized for its exceptional export achievements by receiving the prestigious 'Best Exporter in the Dry Rubber Products Category' award at the 25th Presidential Export Awards (PEA) for two consecutive years, 2021/22 and 2022/23.

The PEA is the highest recognition bestowed by the Head of State of Sri Lanka upon exporters who have been fostering growth and made outstanding contributions to the country's export sector and economic advancement.

Sanjay Melvani, Managing Director Sri Lanka at Yokohama TWS, expressed his enthusiasm upon receiving the award, stating, "We are incredibly proud to receive the 'Best Exporter Award' in recognition of our unwavering commitment to boosting our country's exports, especially during this unprecedented period of social, political, and financial uncertainty.

Despite facing challenges, winning the award for two consecutive financial years in the Dry Rubber Products Category highlights the drive and hard work of our team. I am grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on Sri Lanka's economy through our business operations."

The award winners are carefully evaluated based on their performances considering factors such as Export turnover, Export Proceed repatriation, Net-foreign exchange earnings, market diversification, product diversification, Value addition, Innovations, and Sustainable efforts in exports.

The selection of the award winners was meticulously carried out by an esteemed Panel of Judges headed by a retired Judge of the Supreme Court. Award winners are selected under two categories: Overall Awards and Product/Services sector Awards, where Yokohama TWS come out as the winner specifically in the Dry Rubber Products Category.
