Yang Ming deliver FRESH for life with cold chain expertise

Sep 03, 2025

With the goal of delivering freshness directly to customers, Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation (“Yang Ming”) will participate in Asia Fruit Logistica, taking place from September 3 to 5, 2025, in Hong Kong. At the event, Yang Ming’s sales force is showcasing its integrated cold chain capabilities and innovative technologies, aiming to work with supply chain partners and potential customers at Asia’s leading fresh produce trade exhibition, fostering win-win cooperation in a dynamic market environment.

Yang Ming’s global service network covers major fresh fruit export markets, including cherries from Chile, durians from Thailand, citrus from the United States, and apples from Japan, seamlessly connecting production origins with key consumer destinations. To address seasonal peaks and demand fluctuations in fruit, Yang Ming flexibly adjusts its routes, deploys dedicated cold chain services, and leverages direct express services to ensure stable capacity. These offerings not only shorten transit times and reduce transshipment risks, but also enhance delivery speed and reliability, providing customers with efficient and trusted cold chain solutions.

Leveraging digital technologies, Yang Ming provides customized temperature and ventilation settings tailored to the characteristics of each type of fruit. Through IoT-enabled reefers, the Company offers real-time monitoring of temperature, humidity, and location, with instant alerts and rapid response protocols to safeguard cargo quality. In addition, Yang Ming is also equipped with Controlled Atmosphere (CA) technology reefers, which can extend the shelf life of premium produce to 30 to 45 days, enabling access to more distant export markets. Yang Ming continues to invest in energy-efficient reefer units and a greener vessel fleet, helping customers maintain freshness and nutritional value while creating added value through eco-friendly, low-carbon strategies.

To meet diverse needs of the global supply chain partners, Yang Ming will continue to strengthen its cold chain capabilities and optimize service routes. By integrating low-carbon practices with smart logistics innovations, the Company strives to advance steadily toward its vision of becoming customers’ top choice for transportation services and playing a crucial role in the industry.
