Yale account manager honored as Leader in Excellence by Food Logistics

Javier Leon Duchesne, Global Major Accounts Manager

Yale Lift Truck Technologies announces that Javier Leon Duchesne, Global Major Accounts Manager, has been named a Rock Star of the Supply Chain by Food Logistics magazine. Leon Duchesne was honored in the “Leaders in Excellence” category, which recognizes professionals with at least 10 years of supply chain industry experience.

“What separates Javier from the pack is his ability to put the customer’s needs first, rather than simply selling a new lift truck,” says Mark Koffarnus, Director, Global Major Accounts, Yale Lift Truck Technologies. “He takes the time to build relationships and truly understand individual warehouse operations, enabling him to recommend or find the best possible solution for their problems. When customers have complex questions or can’t quite figure out what they need themselves, Javier is who they call.”

Over his 30-year career, a consistent theme for Duchesne has been growing the Yale footprint in the grocery, food manufacturing, and retail verticals in Latin America. He established a process that gets dealers involved from the very beginning of every customer engagement, which has improved ongoing support, and has enabled alignment throughout the organization and more efficient project execution. His approach produces the levels of trust and satisfaction necessary for longstanding customer engagements and new technology implementation, as evidenced by his leadership in Yale’s first automated lift truck project in Latin America.

Duchesne began his career as a Yale dealer employee in 1995 and spent more than two decades on the dealer side. During that time, he served as truck sales and rental department manager and as a general manger before moving to a new dealer in Puerto Rico to build their Yale operations from the ground up.

In 2017, he joined the in-house Yale team full-time as Major Account Manager for the Latin American market and would later transition to his current role as Global Major Account Manager. In the role, he’s focused on connecting the right regional expertise, coordinating strategy, and managing relationships with major global customers. His goal is to further integrate all regions to better serve customers by simplifying operations and enabling regional teams to act quickly and consistently.
