XSTAFF opens location in Hamburg

Dec 13, 2022

In doing so, the logistics service provider is taking account of the continuous growth of recent years and at the same time sending a clear signal for the future.

The new premises are located directly on the Elbe River, in the immediate vicinity of the Port of Hamburg. The new location will be managed by Antonios Rigalos, a member of the Executive Board and Chief Growth Officer of XSTAFF. In addition, parts of the Procurement & Operations business unit will be co-supported from this location. For Bodo Knop, Chairman of the board of XSTAFF GmbH, the opening of a branch office in the Elbe metropolis is a forward-looking step for the company: "If we want to continue our successful development in recent years, we need to move even closer to the international markets and, above all, their key players.

Against this background, Hamburg as the leading logistics location in Northern Europe with its highly developed port was our first choice." Not only sea freight was in focus It was a move that had become necessary primarily due to XSTAFF's continuous growth since the company was founded in 2016. As early as 2021, more than 100,000 TEU of cargo volumes were moved for the first time through the company's own network, which now includes more than 50 service providers and partners. The number of members has also risen steadily and now also stands at around 50 companies and associations from industry and trade. "In order to be able to continue to provide our services at a quantitatively and qualitatively high level, we must of course continually adapt the structural framework conditions accordingly. From this point of view, the opening of the Hamburg site is ultimately only the logical consequence of the developments of recent years," explains Antonios Rigalos.

A decision that gains additional significance in view of XSTAFF's expanded service portfolio. For example, the company has built up additional competencies beyond its core competence of sea freight, especially in the areas of air transport and rail, and has developed innovative solutions.

"Our customers will of course be able to call on this logistical know-how across all modes of transport from the Hamburg location in the future. For this reason, too, the opening of the office in Hamburg is certainly a milestone in the company's development, from which our members, in particular, will benefit enormously as users," Antonios Rigalos is convinced.
