WorldACD: Trends for the past 5 weeks (wk 16)

WorldACD views on air cargo market developments, covering each of the last 5 weeks up till Sunday 24 April.

In week 16 (April 18-24), worldwide chargeable weight decreased by -3% compared with the week before, and the average worldwide rate decreased to US$ 4.07.

The last two weeks showed no change in capacity compared with the preceding two weeks. For worldwide chargeable weight the 2Wo2W change was -6% and rates decreased with -1%.

Especially rates from Europe to resp. North America and Asia Pacific have gone down in the last two weeks, with resp. -5% and -4%.

Compared with last year, the last two weeks showed a worldwide weight decline of -12% and a rate increase of +24%.
