Women In Trucking Association announces continued partnership with FedEx Freight

Sep 08, 2025

The Women In Trucking Association (WIT) announced today that FedEx Freight has renewed its Gold Partnership, supporting the nonprofit association in highlighting the wide range of career paths available to women in transportation and logistics, recognizing their achievements, and addressing the obstacles they encounter.

FedEx Freight has been an active supporter of the association for more than a decade and a Gold Partner since 2019. Additionally, the company has played a pivotal role in WIT’s annual Accelerate! Conference & Expo as a Platinum Sponsor. Demonstrating FedEx Freight’s ongoing commitment to the association, Melissia Reeves, managing director – district operations, contributes her expertise and leadership as a member of WIT’s board of directors, shaping key initiatives that advance WIT’s goals.

“Through our partnership with WIT, we are proud to celebrate the achievements of women who are redefining what’s possible in transportation,” Reeves said.

"We value FedEx Freight’s leadership in championing career opportunities for women within the transportation sector," said Jennifer Hedrick, CAE, president and CEO of WIT. "Their continued partnership strengthens our ability to open doors for women, celebrate their contributions, and break down barriers across the industry."

Founded in 2007, the Women In Trucking Association is a resource for more than 8,000 corporate and individual members located throughout North America. Recent accomplishments include: releasing the 2024-25 WIT Index, the industry barometer to regularly benchmark and measure the percentage of women who make up critical roles in transportation, which had approximately 350 company participants; hosting 7,400 participants in the WITney® Educational Trailer throughout 40 events in 26 states; honoring 200-plus leaders in transportation through several recognition programs; and more than 2,000 registered attendees at the 2024 Accelerate! Conference and Exhibition.
