Valley Companies moves Kansas City location to bigger warehouse

Valley Companies, a leading provider of managed transportation solutions, has relocated its Kansas City operations to a new warehouse. Located at West 99th St. in Lenexa, in building 22 of the Kansas Commerce Center, the new 55,000-square-foot location triples the company’s capacity in Kansas City. With 24-foot ceilings, the move does more than just add floor space—it adds an abundance of vertical capacity and additional racking. Meanwhile, 12 dock doors and drive-in access also add options for oversized freight and handling equipment.

With 90+ locations nationwide, the move to a larger facility in Kansas City parallels Valley’s growth from a market leader in freight transportation solutions to a premier North American Service Provider. As an industry leader in managed transportation solutions, including final mile, project management, warehousing, LTL, truckload and expedite services, in addition to the U.S., the company now covers Canada and Mexico.

“Kansas City has emerged as a major logistics hub in the U.S., partly due to its central location and robust infrastructure. It’s one of the most rail-connected cities in the country,” says Brett Miller, Valley’s executive vice president. “We’re excited to be part of the city’s growth. Our new facility adds fulfillment capacity and flexibility for projects throughout the Kansas City region and North America.”

Kansas City's central position allows businesses to reach 90% of the U.S. population within a two-day drive, Miller points out. In addition to rail, the city is supported by four major interstates—all connecting to ports across the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

“With our new status as a North American Service Provider, Kansas City is key to Valley’s coverage,” says Todd Gilbert, CEO and Visionary for Valley Companies. “With our new warehouse, we couldn’t be happier to announce that we’re growing and expanding our capacity.”
