Mar 09, 2022

Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) announced the release of the TIA 3PL Market Report for the Fourth Quarter of 2021. The results show that participants’ total shipments increased compared to Q321 and gross margin percentage increased 10 basis points.

“It follows that, as you examine the statistics in this report, you realize that they represent a peaking of favorable brokerage conditions that is unlikely to persist in 2022,” noted TIA Chief Economist Noël Perry.

Combined total shipments increased by 14.0%. Participating companies also reported increases of 39.9% in revenue and a 22.8% improvement in the invoice amount per shipment compared to the same period in 2020.
