TIA announces Melanie Hinton as Vice President of Marketing and Communications

The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) is pleased to welcome Melanie Hinton as its new Vice President of Marketing and Communications. With over two decades of experience in communications and public affairs, Melanie brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record in strategic communications, marketing and advocacy.

Most recently, Melanie served as the Vice President of Communications and Marketing at the American Bus Association in Washington, D.C. Her role included overseeing comprehensive communication strategies and marketing initiatives, contributing significantly to the association's visibility and influence in the industry.

"Melanie's extensive background and proven success in communications and marketing will undoubtedly elevate TIA's profile and strengthen our relationships within the industry. Her arrival marks a significant chapter in our organization's growth, and we look forward to achieving great milestones together."

Prior to her tenure at the American Bus Association, Melanie held the position of Managing Director of Airline Industry Public Relations and Communications with Airlines for America. In this role, she managed communications for airline industry operations and collaborated with third-party supporters to showcase the airline industry's vital contributions.

She brings a wealth of experience in senior communications management. With a background in leading impactful initiatives at other prominent associations, her expertise includes enhancing reputations on Capitol Hill, within industries and with the media.

Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Political Science from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Additionally, she has earned a Certified Travel Industry Specialist certificate from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, showcasing her commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
