The Chugoku Electric Power Co.,Inc. and Toda Corp. join Masuda-Hikimi Wind Power Project

The Chugoku Electric Power Co.,Inc. and TODA CORPORATION announced that they have acquired shares in Asia Wind power Co., Ltd. With this acquisition, The Chugoku Electric Power Co.,Inc. and TODA join Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. and Hokutaku Co., Ltd. as investors in the Masuda–Hikimi Wind Power Project.

Asia Wind power is constructing 13 wind turbines, each with an output of 4,200 kW, in Hikimi-cho, Masuda City, Shimane Prefecture, and developing, operating, and will maintain the facility as an onshore wind farm with a total generating capacity of 54,000 kW. The construction of the power plant will begin, with operations scheduled to start in January 2030.

Asia Wind power and its investing partners will, with the understanding and cooperation of the local community, continue construction with safety as the highest priority toward the commencement of operations of the power plant Through the advancement of this project, we will contribute to realization of a decarbonized society.
