Supply & Demand chain executive names Rick Watson as recipient of 2024 “Pros to Know Award”

TA Services, a premier, full-service third-party logistics provider, announces Richard "Rick" Watson, Director of Cross-Border Operations, as a recipient of the 2024 Pros to Know award presented by Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the only publication covering the entire global supply chain. The award recognizes outstanding executives whose accomplishments offer a roadmap for other leaders looking to leverage supply chains for competitive advantage. This award is for the Rising Stars category, which recognizes young or newer professionals (39 and under) whose achievements, hard work, and vision have shaped the supply chain network.

"I'm humbled to be a recipient of this year's Pros to Know award," Watson said. "Being a young person in the supply chain space is simultaneously challenging and exciting. I'm very thankful for my team, and I can't wait to see what new adventures are on the horizon in 2024 for our cross-border operations. I truly believe that our cross-border growth ability has no bounds."

Watson oversees operations across North America. In his day-to-day role, his primary focus is on less-than-truckload (LTL) shipping and cross-border services. Among the initiatives that earned Watson the honor of being recognized as one of Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s Rising Stars is his leading efforts in centralizing the line-haul planning team in TA’s Indianapolis, IN office, creating a strong nucleus of customer service for cross-border shippers. Thanks to Watson's consistent, direct, and positive leadership style, TA Services will continue to excel in satisfying customers’ shipping needs across North America.

"Many of today's supply chain pros are more than just leaders within their space; they're innovators, decision makers, pioneers of change and growth. They've spent the last year (and more) creating safer, more efficient supply chains," says Marina Mayer, editor-in-chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “New this year, we broke the award down into four distinct categories: Top Warehousing Stars; Top Procurement Stars; Rising Stars; and Lifetime Achievement. These winners continue to go above and beyond to overcome challenges, advance supply chain management and make the impossible, possible.”

Recipients of this year’s award will be profiled in Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s March 2024 issue, which will be distributed at MODEX 2024 and at https://www.sdcexec.com/.
