Strategic Marine delivers two new Stratcat 27 CTVs to Louis Dreyfus Armateurs supporting offshore wind fleet growth

Jun 02, 2025

Strategic Marine is proud to announce the successful delivery of two new StratCat 27 Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) to Louis Dreyfus Armateurs (LDA), expanding their high-specification offshore wind support fleet. The newly delivered vessels, sister ships to Acti’Vent and Esti’Vent, will be deployed in the growing offshore wind sector in France and Europe.

Built at Strategic Marine’s Singapore shipyard, these 27-metre aluminium catamarans are based on the proven StratCat 27 design and tailored to meet the demanding operational needs of offshore renewables. With capacity for 24 technicians, the vessels offer enhanced safety, performance, and comfort—essential for reliable crew transfer in challenging marine environments, with potential deployment in key markets such as France, the UK, Poland, Taiwan, Korea and Japan amongst others.

Mr. Gaël Cailleaux, Renewables Managing Director at Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, commented: "In line with our commitment to deliver operational excellence, we are confident that these two StratCat27will reliably support the growing offshore wind market in France and Europe."

Mr. Chan Eng Yew, CEO of Strategic Marine, added, “We are delighted to deliver these two state-of-the-art CTVs to our valued customer Louis Dreyfus Armateurs. These vessels are the second pair of CTVs which we have delivered in the past 2 years. The deliveries mark another important milestone in our shared commitment to advancing offshore wind operations through innovation, quality, and performance. The StratCat 27 continues to prove its value across Europe and Asia, and we look forward to seeing these vessels in action.”

The successful delivery of these two vessels reinforces both companies’ contributions to accelerating the energy transition and supporting the long-term growth of offshore wind infrastructure in the region.
